Simpson made the pattern used for producing the castings for the July 7th memorial that was recently unveiled in Hyde Park, London
It was machined from a specially cast block of medium density model board measuring:
2.3 x 1.2 x 0.15 metres.
A very technical pattern due to the architects request for a excellent surface finish along with sharp corners on all junctions.
This was achieved by a finishing cut with a .1mm stepover with a .5mm diameter tool.
